Reading Passage

Last month, Mina started secondary school. She liked her new teachers and classmates, but every morning was difficult. She often woke up late, missed breakfast, and ran to the bus stop. When she arrived at school, she felt tired and worried. After one busy week, Mina decided she needed a better plan.

First, Mina changed her evening routine. After dinner she packed her school bag and checked her timetable for the next day. She put her books, notebook, and pencil case in the bag. Then she chose her clothes and left them on a chair. She also charged her phone and set two alarms, one at 6:45 and one at 6:55.

In the morning, Mina did three simple things. She opened the window for fresh air and drank a glass of water. Then she ate an easy breakfast, usually yogurt and a banana, or toast with cheese. While she ate, she listened to music and did not look at messages. This helped her feel calm and ready.

Mina also learned to save time when she left home. She put her keys in the same pocket every day and kept her bus card in her wallet. Now she leaves at 7:25, five minutes earlier than before. She still has busy days, but she is usually on time. Mina says her new routine makes school mornings much better.
