If meetings are always for those in the room, remote staff may end up being left out of key decisions. Managers, too, are under pressure to keep an eye on performance without as intrusive. Still, as the cost of living goes up, workers are less willing to arrangements that don’t make sense. In the long run, the companies that may be those that focus on results, set clear expectations, and follow through on the promises they make.
