Choice of tasks

Write 280-320 words in an appropriate style.

Choose a task

You have been asked to write an article for your university’s online magazine. The magazine is running a series called ‘The Hidden Price of Modern Life’, exploring how apparently time-saving habits can have unexpected consequences. Write an article (280–320 words) in which you: - describe one everyday convenience that many students rely on (e.g. food delivery apps, AI tools for studying, fast fashion, next-day shipping, streaming services) - analyse two less obvious costs of this convenience (for example: impact on wellbeing, finances, learning, relationships, local communities, or the environment) - suggest practical ways students can keep the benefits while reducing the downsides. Your article should be engaging and persuasive, using an appropriate title and style for an online student readership.
